According to The American Red Cross. The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has reached 8,800 families with earthquake assistance. This includes services such as provision of tarps and hygiene kits by American Red Cross and other National Societies; tents; kitchen sets; jerrycans for water collection and carrying to the home; water and sanitation services mainly provided by the Peruvian Red Cross, as well as medical and first aid services provided by the PRC, and other services delivered by multiple Red Cross National Societies responding.

According to this report by the Trust for America's Health, adult obesity rates rose in 31 states last year, 22 states experienced an increase for the second year in a row, and no state had a rate decrease. The report includes a ranking of state obesity rates, a review of federal and state government policies to reduce and prevent obesity, and recommendations for families, communities, schools, employers, the food and beverage industries, health professionals and government.
